British Psychological Society (BPS) Cyberpsychology Section Annual Conference (2024)
I presented my findings from my first doctoral study in a full study presentation titled 'Levelling up: Investigating the construction of gamer identity for female gamers', which won the best oral presentation award. I also sat on the conference committee as Conference Ambassador co-ordinator.
Interactive Games Postgraduate Research Conference (2024)
I presented my findings from my first doctoral study in a presentation titled ' "I'm a gamer but I'm not that type of gamer": exploring the construction of gamer identity and the intersection with gender'.
British Psychological Society (BPS) Cyberpsychology Section Annual Conference (2023)
I presented a work-in-progress poster titled 'Investigating the salience of gamer identity across online gaming forums, via players identity expression in online language', which won the award for best poster presentation. I was a panel member for "The future of video games research - by those doing it now. A panel discussion by PhD video game researchers celebrating the growing area of Cyberpsychology" moderated by Chris Leech. I also sat on the conference committee as an early career researcher representative.
